Cleaning – it’s not a chore really, unless you let things get out of control. If you pick up after yourself every night before bed, you start fresh the next day. Things don’t pile up.
Well, I guess it’s just too easy…b/c I just figured, the mess isn’t that bad, so I’ll just leave it all until the weekend. When we get home from work the last thing we want to worry about is cleaning. As soon as I get in, I throw my purse and laptop bag on the floor in the entry way. TH takes his jacket off and throws it on the couch.
If we went shopping that day (for non-perishables) those bags get thrown on the floor by my purse and laptop. And then… I plop myself down on the couch — whip out my laptop and start surfing or watch some tv to unwind. TH goes straight up to our loft where he sits in front of his computer for the rest of the night. Either working on work stuff, or reading news and catching up on the day to day stuff.
We’re beat. We don’t even cook dinner anymore. We need to simplify our life a little… and the best way to keep things simple, is to keep things clean and organized.
And so — I give you my den table. The starting point for my cleaning escapades today.
Wish me luck!
