My new favorite number.

Today is weigh-in day and it’s official — I’m down 19 lbs!!!
This is not all due to Weight Watchers… I am on some meds to help me regulate my insulin resistance (to prevent diabetes) and it helped me to lose 13 of those 19lbs.

Quick debriefing : the insulin resistance prevented my body from processing carbohydrates correctly, it basically stored the carbs and never expelled them as energy. As a result I was unable to lose any weight on my own while dieting/eating healthy –Now, since taking the meds, I am finally losing the pounds and winning the battle.

The rest I attribute to Weight Watchers.

Now 6 pounds in 4 weeks doesn’t sound like much — but hell, I didn’t really follow WW for 2 of those weeks. So I’ll take what I can get. It must’ve been last night’s yummalicious dinner.

I’m sooooo happy ! Now if I can just stay on track :)
