The best ridiculous idea ever!

Every time I cook (about once every 2 months – yup, 6x’s a year) – I make a mess. I like to keep everything I use to cook or prep with on one counter top. That would be our cuttingboard/table/island thingy. The worst part about trying to keep everything there is that there just isn’t all that much room when you start adding garbage to the mix. Yanno – potato peels, apple cores, onion/garlic skins etc…

I hate walking the 3 feet to my garbage can to clean up my work space. It’s not that it’s TOO FAR, but it’s HELL to do it. Ever try to pick up all those little pieces of garlic skin and as you’re making your way to the garbage, with the skins in hand—they fly out of the tiniest open area in your hands??

Then they fall to the floor and are impossible to pickup, you’d swear it will be stuck there forever, until your dog comes over and tries to eat it, and suddenly starts to gag b/c it’s now stuck to the roof of her mouth, at which point you wash your hands clean of whatever garbage is left stuck to them and shove them down your dogs throat searching for that damn garlic skin.

Life would be so much easier with — A GARBAGE BOWL!!!!

Yes, it looks like an ordinary bowl, but it’s orange-y and speckled, and well – it’s for garbage! It cannot and must not be used for anything EXCEPT garbage. Please note that this is not your garbage’s final destination, it’s merely Purgatory – or Garbage Limbo as I like to call it. The great thing about this garbage bowl is that it can be placed on a counter top or table or even in a cabinet for storage. Can’t do that with any ordinary garbage can.

Please, do not confuse the garbage bowl for this :

This is just a lame old mixing bowl. Don’t go wasting your money on one of these things.

In all seriousness – I want a garbage bowl. Maybe it’s just the psychology of it, knowing that it’s only purpose is to help me organize my trash while prepping/cooking and making it easier for me to transport my garlic skins – i don’t care. I want one.

I know that I could use just any ordinary bowl, but I don’t wanna… I want the official Rachel Ray Garbage Bowl.

P.S. – I’m not actually a fan of Rachel. I tried her cookbooks and EVERY recipe I made came out tasting like CRAP. And no – it’s not that I can’t cook…b/c srsly, I can.
