What a mess I have been making around the house.
Being home, I was thinking I could keep the place clean. Instead I make a mess.
This is my setup right now. I have a large L-shaped desk, but needed an extension. Since we just removed our TV from the loft, I am using the stand it was on (in black) as a setup for my invite cutting thing I have going on. I was asked to make some Bridal Shower Invites for someone and through this process I’m learning what I need to do to become more efficient. I bought a paper cutter, put pink sticky notes on everything and am good to go.
I don’t know what I was thinking. Cutting each invite by hand with scissors. YIKES!! Then those Registered Where cards on the left side of the photo – 6 on each sheet. What a pain in the butt.
I bought the X-ACTO Cutter, and it’s AWESOME. It was under $40 too!!
I designed these invites in Photoshop using brushes and vector images, and colored each one specific to the theme of the shower.
I’ll show a closeup of the finished product after the event, since I don’t want to ruin any surprise 
I had a few designs up on Etsy which I have taken down already, b/c suddenly I’m getting requests to create invites for people and have forgotten I even had an account. Bad Wifey… so I made some refunds and rejected the work apologizing … 1 client I did complete the request for… and that’s all for now. I think I will stick to word of mouth from now on, since I don’t know if I can manage my time for strangers/internet requests just yet.
I sound lazy, but just being realistic. Trying to get our house sold ASAP is priority ONE. Guess I should clean this place up then. eh?
