I swear…

…to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

My sister and I were in a car accident almost 5 years ago. My sister was driving and I was the only passenger in her car. We stopped short in the middle of a highway late at night b/c we had seen just a mess of cars in front of us. It looked completely chaotic. To avoid the mess, we stopped. Then put on our hazard lights and about a minute or two later, a car rear-ended us.

We slowly and as safely as we could drove our car to the shoulder to avoid any more possible collisions. The car that hit us, stayed where it was. I don’t remember the exact number of cars in the accident that preceded us but there were a bunch and we called the police to let them know.

Without getting in to too many specific details, b/c I really don’t know what I’m allowed or not allowed to say, it took this long for any legal action to take place that involved my sister and me.

We have both been subpoenaed to appear as witnesses. I don’t really know what they will be asking us. I am assuming a bunch of people got injured b/c there was a stretch limo involved. And I was interviewed by an insurance company shortly after the accident. At which, after hearing what I had to say I saw, they offered me some $$ and I did not accept it.

Today, is the date we were supposed to be in court (well, we have been subpoenaed on multi days this year that never followed through) — but I was told that the lawyers will go to see when we will be needed to appear. I just cannot wait to find out what the heck actually happened that night to cause such a mess. I don’t know if the case is about that exactly, so I may never know.
