I have so many freakin’ items of clothing. I have gone through my closet the past 2 years, almost quarterly and have taken tons of items out and donated them. Today, I’ve been working on my closets (inspiring photos to come) and again, I’m tossing out donating more clothes. (*Note* I haven’t bought any new items since the last round of purging!)
We took photos of everything.
Believe it or not, taking photos of each individual item wasn’t as bad as you would think. It’s actually quite liberating and freeing, plus, we kinda need to catalog what we are donating if we don’t want to run into issues come tax time. Last year we donated well over the $3,000 mark and didn’t catalog it. We didn’t want to ‘risk’ being audited so we didn’t log it on our taxes
Not going to make that mistake this time!!
I could always E-Bay everything and probably make a good chunk of change, but that would mean I’d have to hold on to the clothes. And since we want to sell and move as QUICKLY as possible, that’s not in the cards.
Picnik is great. B/c you just click on this COLLAGE thing, and click and drag photos into it and voila.
Here are the donations from 1 walk-in closet.
