After much negotiation — the seller’s of our future home — accepted our price!!
In the end, they went down $23,900 and we went up $21,000. Holy cow.
We bid really low, per the realtor’s advice, (she is aggressive). The seller’s didn’t think we were serious and countered our original offer by 4k less than asking price. So we showed how serious we were…and upped our offer by 10k, and they went down again and finally we went up another 11k, virtually meeting in the middle / and they accepted!
What we paid for this house was almost the same price as the EXACT SAME house layout around the block — we could’ve gotten that one for a bit less after negotiations, but the layout of the property here was perfect for us. So we are very happy!!
We hope to be out of attorney review in the next 3 days and get a move on everything.
Still keeping fingers crossed that the sale of our home finalizes … closing Dec 3rd.
Then we will be moving in my with inlaws for 2 months and closing on the new house on Jan 27th. Wooo!!!
