Oh hai!

Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day… are all big good holidays for me.

Spending time with family is great, but it kinda stinks that all these big‘ holidays are lumped in to the end of the year. The time in which I am most busy at work… seriously, just check out my desk:

and running around trying to buy presents, and travel to and from relatives houses and commuting to and from work, is just a big pain in the arse.

Right now life is a bit jumbled. We are still living with my in-laws. Space has been an issue, and we are adults and have learned to deal with things out of our control. Even though clutter seems to be following me around these days, I don’t like it.

For those of you who know me IRL, know what a control freak I can be, and I can’t imagine how I would deal with people moving in to my place… I’m sure I’d be peaceful about it, but it would be tearing me up inside. So I can only imagine how other people feel.

I’m happy to say, that I’ve married in to a family that does not create a lot of drama, so living with them really is not bad at all. Everyone is very peaceful.

Come end of February we will re-evaluate our situation and see if it makes sense to move back in to our place. Right now, we are still paying for the mortgage, association fees, electric & gas (since we have to keep the heat on so our pipes don’t freeze) and we are paying for monthly storage of our belongings. Not sure if it makes sense to do all that and not live there. Yanno?

The worst thing I’ve been dealing with lately is — static. Literal static.

During the winter, my skin gets really dry. I always go out and stock up on some Head & Shoulders shampoo b/c my scalp gets dry too. Static is my enemy. We had this blanket on our bed, and whenever we would move it, it would make snapping noises. — static — So we decided to take the blanket off. We turned the lights off in the room first b/c static likes to make pretty colors in the dark. When TH took the blanket off and there was a lightning storm over the bed. A big bolt shot up to the ceiling fan/light above the bed, and another bolt struck me, which in turn struck the computer I was sitting next to and turned it on. That’s some scary shiz.

Check this out…

I hate static. My hair , has been sticking to my face like nobody’s business. Every time I try to move it off my face, it gets staticy-er. I have tried putting hand lotion on, special silkening products (which I think create more static), hairspray, dryer sheets and water. Then I facebook’d my problem and was told about this anti-static spray by sunsilk, but I can’t find it to save my life… I will be ordering some on amazon.

Oh, btw, Amazon Prime ROCKS… especially since you get one month free and then can cancel — I am using the free month now, so that I was able to get all my Christmas stuff here in time :-)

NYE – keeping it low-key with Mike’s family. I can’t wait to just relax!
NYD – celebrating Christmas with my mom and sisters :-)

Last year we partied like it was 1989 at our place with an 80′s themed NYE party. I really miss hosting get-togethers and game nights, but luckily — TH’s family likes playing cards ;-) Sawheet!

Oh, one more thing. I’ve been super busy with this photo stuff that I didn’t even get a chance to take a pic of me and TH for holiday cards this year. Waaaaaah. Hopefully I get a chance to take a good one before the end of the year.. only 2 more days, ya’ll!!

Oh … wait, maybe just one more thing..

I really really miss this girl:

This is Jen. She is my buddy. She took over for me when I took off from work to go to Switzerland, sell my house, pretend to sell my house. She recently took a hiatus and went off to never-never-land Panama on a vacation by herself! Major props to her for doing that, especially since it was her first trip out of the country!! Everyone should go on vacation, somewhere, anywhere — by themselves. The people you meet and the experiences you’ll have will amaze you.

your lucky it just turned the computer on. Coulda done some damage to your hardware. Static and electronics don’t mix.

My hair’s been flyin’ all over the place at night. Bryan complains ’cause it gets in his mouth, lol. Seems OK during the day though.

sorry your work is busy. Mine’s completely dead. Completely. Everyone takes off the last two weeks. There’s like me and one other person in the office. Freakishly quiet.

    happy new year :)
