Bed rest, PSN, + Hulu Plus

Not much to post. It’s one of those lazy days. Decided to stay home from work today b/c the bleeding from the previa continues. Modified bedrest, meaning, only sitting and laying down and up to go to the bathroom. Fun times.

Since we moved back into our house after the sale didn’t go through, (ugh ugh ugh), we decided to save money by not getting cable. We are lucky in that when we plug the tv in and connect the cable wire, we still get about 40 channels. FREE CABLE YAY!

We are paying for internet and that’s about it otherwise. Sooo to fill in the gaps with all the good channels I used to love for daytime tv (ie. The Food Network and TLC etc.) we subscribed to Hulu Plus. It’s 7.99 a month to get the feed in HD to your tv. Otherwise it’s free via your computer (you could always hook your computer up to display on your tv… but I rather browse the web while watching tv simultaneously.

To get the feed to the tv you need a Play Station or other game console that connects to the internet hooked up to your tv. It doesn’t work on the Wii that we have but it does work on the PS3 that we have. But today, it seems the Play Station Network is down, and it may be a GLOBAL issue. That’s a big deal. I can see it now. All the addicts out there trying to sign in and unable to. They are going mad crazy. No doubt. There is this group called Anonymous that has been hacking in for the past few weeks and shutting down the network but it hasn’t been global. Supposedly the leader of the group promised to stop the attacks on Sony consumers, a short time ago so who knows if it’s them or a technical glitch. A BIG technical glitch. Shit happens, I know, but now I’m home and can’t watch my hulu flicks on my big screen.

I’ll settle for the laptop, b/c I’ve become addicted to that show called If I Can Dream. OMG… Have you seen this? I’m not sure if it was only run on Hulu, but probably since I’ve never heard of it before. There are these 5 people who were chosen .. .they are aspiring artists of different sorts, acting, music, modeling etc… Simon Fuller is the creator (same guy as American Idol). They have them live in this DREAM HOUSE that has about 60cameras on them 24×7. You can see almost EVERYTHING and they are mic’d all day so you hear everything too. They get to stay in this house until they achieve their dream goal. They have to work hard at it, and can’t just waste the time away chillin’ at this cool place in Hollywood. The show sets up opportunities for them. It’s very interesting and I got sucked in. Normally I wouldn’t be that in to reality tv, but I am. Maybe it’s b/c I don’t have to watch with all the comercials or wait a week to see 1 episode. I can see the entire season NOW. The site to watch them 24×7 is down b/c the season is over, but apparently they have started casting for Season 2 already. If you’re aspiring to make it big, get on it!
