Genderizing..eh?

Joy!

Today we went to the Maternal Fetal Medicine center (for high risk pregnancies) and they did my 16 week cervix check (yeah fun *sigh*) and an ultrasound to check the fetal growth.

Both babes are measuring at exactly 16 weeks and 5oz each. :-) I’m sooo happy to hear that they are both measuring on target and the same. I hear that is a good thing :-)

Our gender scan is set for June 1st – at 20 weeks, however, the MFM Ultrasound techs said they’d take a peek today :-) Our scan lasted about 30-40minutes and Baby A showed us the goods — It’s a Girl!!! Baby B had it’s legs close together and had it’s ankles crossed. It wouldn’t cooperate with us today, so we’ll have to wait another month on that one.

I’m sooo happy to be having a girl — at least 1 !! I wanted a girl soo bad!!! We really don’t care what the other one is, just as long as they both stay healthy little ones. We have always felt that we were having 2 girls though — and the U/S tech said if they had to venture a guess they would say Baby B is a girl too .. :-)

Ahhh the genderizing of the babes makes them that much more REAL. Especially since I don’t feel pregnant at all anymore (except for sleepiness) …

No pics to show, unfortunately, I forgot to ask for them on the way out :-( — I have another scan this Friday with my regular OB so we’ll see if they are going to take a peek or not.

YAY for healthy babies and YAYAYAYAYAY for a girl!!!

The one thing I always dreamed of was having a baby girl. I always pictured myself with a little pink baby girl to play with and do her hair, pink clothes, and lace, and purple, butterflies, lady bugs… yep… had it all planned out FOUR TIMES. Calahan would have been Kearstyn Myrie, Noah would have been Meghan MaKenna, Nathan and Kaedyn would have been Lilleigh Bella .. ::sigh::

But they all came out with outdoor plumbing and the last three we knew were boys before they came out … and with Kaedyn, who I knew would be my last since Hubby got “fixed” between our amnio and finding out the results…. I was so happy he was healthy (after having 2 babies born preemies and having medical issues)… but I really wanted that girl and I cried, I bawled… I probably scared my husband I cried so much, and I feel bad for it because I love my big bubba … but, It was the loss of a dream of mother and daughter. So I’m really excited that you are getting your dream!!
