Spent most of the day last Thursday worrying about these damned Braxton Hicks contractions. OB told me to come in, I got checked out, then they sent me to the hospital for monitoring. 10 hours worth of contractions that slowed down as the night went on, and I was sent home and all is good.
Still having contractions but not as frequently as that day… all seems to be good. Cervix (for those who keep track) is measuring 4.7, which is AWESOME. Will not be going into labor anytime soon. Thankfully.

We went strawberry picking at a local farm this weekend. TH, Me, my SIL and my nieces and nephews. Came home with TONS of fresh ripe yummy strawberry goodness!!! I can’t believe how CHEAP everything was compared to buying in the stores. I didn’t get to look up any strawberry recipes, instead we’ve just been eating them plain with a bit of sugar or some cool whip. Soooo yummy! Next month we’ll be picking some blackberries and rasberries and sunflowers

2 more days until my Anatomy scan, where I was warned that I will be laying on the table for 2.5 hours while they scan me. Joy. Laying on your back when pregnant isn’t comfy, at least not with 2 baking in there, and not on a doctors table. OUCHY!! Add to that the pushing and prodding and cold wet gel they put on you… FUN FUN FUNNN!!!! But alas, the pictures on the screen will keep us entertained. Just hoping TH doesn’t fall asleep like he almost did at our last one which only lasted about 40 minutes. *ahem*

Besides that… ain’t much else going on.
Using the crockpot today to make a quick easy meal. We don’t have much in our house b/c we haven’t been shopping in a bit … so I just threw 2 cans of mushroom soup and some chicken breasts cut up in there. Cooking on low. Maybe we’ll put it over some rice or pasta to complete the meal. Gonna need some veggies though!!
Looking for some good yummy recipes, so share if you’re willing!
Gas is expensive. Even though prices are dropping (A WHOLE 4cents a GALLON!!!) *sigh*. I’ve calculated that it costs me about $15/day to drive to and from work. 5×15= $75. Yes. I have to pay $75 a week to WORK. Luckily I’ll only be at work for a few more weeks. Joy!

We had our last open house this weekend. It was a bust. No one showed. There were 4 other units in our development (different models) with open houses and our realtor, spoke to one of those realtors who also said they did not get any foot traffic either.
Looks like we’ll be staying where we are for a few more years… It’s okay though, b/c we have the space and well, we will refinance with the low mortgage rates that are being offered. It’s nice to just settle back in instead of living with bare bones and staging the house all the time. I just want it to feel like ‘home’ again.
This week I plan on working on my ‘plans’ to work over the house. Pics to come. :0) FUNNN!

You DO clean up nice!
Sorry to hear things didn’t work out with the open house, but (selfishly) glad to know you’ll still be close by so I can visit the babies a lot. I love nesting… I’m sure it will such a relief to settle back in and have your schtuff out of boxes and start the decorating and babyproofing! SO excited!!
glad you are okay. 2.5 hours??? I would go nuts. sorry about the open house but at least now you can stop putting your life on hold and start prepping for the babies.
cute doggie!!
