The babies got measured today…

Today I’m 34weeks and 6 days. Wow. Again, everyday that goes by without going in to labor is amazing to me. To make it another day. Wow.

Today the babies got weighed — Baby A is 5lbs, and Baby B is 4lb 13oz. They aren’t that different in size. Which is great… And even though they are preemie, if they maintain their weight, and their development is ‘okay’ then we can take them home shortly after having them!!

Docs in the NICU said that preemies sometimes don’t develop the ability to suck and the stamina needed to feed themselves until they are about 36 weeks.

Anyway — took some belly pics today. This is what a belly with almost 10lbs of baby in it looks like —

The picture on the right is blurry and bugging me but oh well — that’s camera phone for ya. Anyway, my belly is HUGE!!!

I can’t believe the babies are so big right now, b/c last time I got measured (4 weeks ago) A was about 3lbs and B was 2lbs+. Even though they’ve cummulatively gained about 5 lbs, I’ve managed to lose another 6 this past week. So now I’m down about 6lbs below my prepregnancy weight. It is the most bizarre thing in the world to me. I think it’s all water though, b/c I’m drinking so much and in turn — i’m peeing just as much.

So yeah, I’m ready — for the babies — to come out! Let’s go little ones. I’m ready!!! I think you guys are ready… let’s do this!

My sister’s due date is today — and she is like me … feeling like the day will never come. She will be induced on Sept 19th I think …
