About

Hi and thanks for stopping by!

I am ‘the wife’ and I decided to start this blog as a way to chronicle the life of me and ‘the hubs’.

Our story starts with a wink. We met online through match.com. I saw a photo of TH and thought he was cute, so I ‘winked’ at him. I didn’t expect him to respond to me because of a virtual wink, but he did. And so our story progresses as most do. We communicated via E-Mail, then IM, eventually leading to meeting up in person.

When we first started dating. 2004

We had our first date on September 3rd, 2004 at the Olive Garden. Things went well — I thought he was adorable in person. A pretty boy, kinda preppy, not my usual type, b/c honestly — I didn’t think a guy like him would be in to me. He is the intellectual type, and I’m used to the big jock type guys. It was a change, and a refreshing one.

Our second date was the very next day. September 4th – I had 4 tickets to a Yankee baseball game and only 2 people to go with. TH offered to come along and we had a great time. He was a good sport, seeing as he really isn’t in to sports at all. I guess this meant liked me??

We learned that we both liked the similar things, science, music, philosophy…

After 2 weeks of dating TH told me that he loved me. I was so ecstatic to hear it, but my reaction was kind of blaise considering it was 2am and I was half asleep. I did say it back… but if it were up to me, we would’ve gotten this out in the open a week earlier. However, I promised myself and my girlfriends that I wouldn’t be the first to say it … Don’t ask me why, I know there’s no logic to that. It’s a girl thing I guess.

Now let’s zoom ahead 3 more years. In July of 2007, TH got down on one knee and proposed to me at The Flume Gorge in NH. It was like a fairy tale — we were alone on a wooden walkway above hundreds of waterfalls. Onlookers watched from above the falls as he asked and I said Yes.

A year later, in October 2008, we got married. Our ceremony/reception was held at The Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge. We honeymooned in Tahiti & Bora Bora. The planning was chaotic and stressful, sometimes fun and exciting, but the results were worth it.

We have 2 furrbutts name Peeps and Dibs. They are the joys and terrors of our lives, but they do make it entertaining. :)

This blog is maintained by yours truly since TH usually spends most of his online time playing WoW or reading GoogleNews. That is his addiction, and this is mine :-) . I like to journal, and I like the flexibility of doing it digitally.

In 2011 – we learned that we would are expecting TWINS. They are due in October, but the docs want us to prepare for a September arrival.

This blog will chronicle our life together
